UI Analysis of Presentation Layout
3 of 7 UI Design Principles needed to be corrected
Simple & Easy to Use
Contest easy to understand but audience has to concentrate when viewing
Perceptible Information

Information runs together on every slide creating ciaos throughout
Physical Effort
Potential for audience fatigue when reading due to little or no content formatting for order

UI Annotation Sample Set

Sample slides that represent the need for presentation redesign
1. Missing typography like headings and subheadings to create hierarchy and clarity
2. Lack of purposeful layout. Use of grid and graphic design principles are absent from the content layout
3. Layout is inconsistent. Use of "white" space is distracting and can exasperate the user to make sense of the visual presentation.
4. Text is small and crammed together in relation to slide size. This typography requires concentration on the slide to read and can take focus away from verbal presenter.

UI/Graphic Design Best Practices Applied
Consistency
Added & maintained heading and text font size throughout presentation.

Applied grid layout to maintain slide balance and content alignment.
Purposeful Layout
Similarity
Used proximity to group related content on each slide.

Continuation/Repetition
3 Medical Decision Making slides and 3 Summary slides all have same layout and color to give symmetry and order to topics that span multiple slides.

Use of color and Texture
Used contrasting colors, images and varying text size and weight to bring order to the overall layout.

Typography
Added variety to type size and weight to define hierarchy and clarity from slide to slide.
Conclusion:
Graphic Design Skills are a part of the UX/UI Design Skills and Require Design Assessment
“The revisions {that were} made to the presentation for me were not only excellent, my audience really liked the way the slides were presented . . . . My colleague gave the same presentation but used simple slides that he made and he remarked that he should also use your services when doing upscale presentations to our physician clients. I think your designs had a positive impact on the audience and using those designs, I did 4 presentations. All of them had positive reviews. Thank you for this most valuable experience. It relieved me of having to do the work of putting the presentation together.”
